Working it

Tuesday, September 22, 2015

Several weeks ago my photographer Cathy and I spent the day at Dayton Home  in Wellesley, MA shooting for The Midlife Fashionista. Store owner, Lyn Dayton, was so welcoming and accommodating. She moved furniture around, gathered props and even brought us iced tea.
I can see why her customers love her!

I saw how hard Lyn works so I thought I'd pitch in and help her out..."hello, Dayton Home".

OK I didn't actually work, but I do want to give you some work outfit inspiration. A fabulous pair of   fitted black pants is a wardrobe staple. I adore these Anna Vo slim cut pants from Dresscode  because they're super comfortable, mid-rise and don't wrinkle.   I love the length too--they hit at just the right spot to work for heels or flats and can take you from day to night. Take a trip over to Dresscode (special "Susan" discount for mentioning I sent you.) You can also order online.

Every great work outfit needs a silk blouse (that's easy to layer), classic pumps and a leather portfolio to make you look super polished at meetings.

Have a great week everyone!
All photos shot by the amazing Cathleen Trainor at Dayton Home in Wellesley.
