Denim is now a spring trend!

You may have heard that denim is big for spring 2023, and I have to say that I'm thrilled about it! I'm a huge denim fan...I mean how comfy are jeans? There are so many fabulous styles to fit every body, shape, flatter every skin-tone, and let's face it, denim goes with everything. Think of it as a neutral! And one more thing, you can dress it up or down. It's perfect! Yay for a trend that works for REAL women!

How to style denim.

Denim on Denim:

You may have heard of the term "Canadian Tuxedo", which is basically denim from head to toe. This look is super flattering (think of it as monochromatic) and looks great with jeans or a jean skirt and a denim jacket or shirt.

TIP: When wearing denim on denim, the washes should be similar. I don't mean that they have to totally match, but the shades should blend well together. 

My Favorite Jeans

As I get older, the rise gets higher. But sometimes when the rise is too high, it doesn't work for me either.  Here are some of my favorite jeans with just the right cut, rise, and stretch.

How to style a denim skirt.

Honestly, there are SO many options! You can dress it up or down and wear it all year round (great with boots in the colder months). For spring, I love it with a tank top, graphic tee, white blouse, and sneakers or sandals.  A denim skirt (or jeans) also looks amazing with a trench-coat.
