These basics will never go out of style, are versatile and work for most body shapes.
1. A fitted leather jacket...fabulous with jeans, over a dress or with a skirt. Look for quality leather in a neutral color. 2. Dark wash straight leg jeans. 3. Silk blouse that flows without being too swingy. I love the color, cut and neckline of this blouse. 4. Pencil skirt that hugs the body without clinging. Look for a fabric with structure and weight. 5. Sheath dress 6. Nude pumps--they'll go with everything in your closet and elongate the leg. What more could you ask for?
Here's a trick for slimming...go with dark monochromatic colors for your
top and pants (or skirt)...top it off with a sweater or jacket in a
vivid color
If you're trying to define your waistline, the right dresses can really do the trick. 1.
Use color-blocking with the darker color on the bottom or on the sides
of the dress to create a waistline and draw attention to just the right
places. 2. Use strategically placed patterns to create a sexy
hour-glass shape. The striped and print dresses both give the illusion
of a small waistline. 3. Whoever developed ruching was a genius! Look for dresses that have ruching around the waist to camouflage and cinch.
