Chico's lace bomber

Ahhhh...spring is here! I love everything about spring--the warm weather, flowers, sunshine and SPRING CLOTHES!

This gorgeous baby blue lace bomber is from Chico's but I'm SO sorry--it just sold out!! Here are some other Chico's jackets I love too HERE and HERE. (lace denim!!)

I love that this jacket mixes feminine with a little edgy.

I'm wearing it with denim, but it would also look fabulous with white jeans or with a dress or skirt.

Chico's also makes the best tanks. I need one in every color--they're so comfy, have the perfect neckline, and don't roll up!

This lariat necklace is from my friends at SKM Collection.

Everyone jokes that I should buy stock in Sofft because I recommend the line so often. I genuinely LOVE their shoes because they're incredibly comfy! Find these HERE.

Most of my jeans are ankle length. I find them the most versatile as they go with flats, heels or even tucked into boots.

Well Heeled

Life works in mysterious ways.

Lately I've had way too many "coincidences"---or maybe these happenings are not by chance?

Last month, Richard and I stayed in Quechee, VT for a few days. We decided to take a ride over to Stowe and of course I wanted to do some boutique shopping!

I had been following Well Heeled on Instagram and sent a message to see if they would be interested in doing a collaboration while I was there.

I was so excited that the answer was "yes".

Well Heeled is the most gorgeous boutique nestled in outskirts of Stowe. It's so charming that you might think you were

at a B and B! But inside, it's all fashion!

I met with the owner Lisa and we started gabbing like old friends. She told me that she worked for a clothing line years ago--one that I had also worked with. I mentioned the name of a woman I used to communicate with and Lisa said, "THAT'S ME!". What are the chances???

We left poor Richard occupied with his phone while we chatted away. Turns out we know several of the same people too!

Lisa had a baby shower to go to so she cut me loose in the store (dangerous!) and told me to pick out my favorite outfit.

There were SO many amazing styles to choose from but I landed on this Ecru suede jacket (wardrobe must-have!),
J. Brand jeans (love the hem) and an Ecru silk top.

Richard finally got disgusted (he was so bored) and left for the nearest coffee shop. He knew I'd be more than the 30 minutes I had promised--smart man!

When we got back to Quechee, we took some photos of the outfit accessorized with a fabulous long tassel necklace (see their necklace collection HERE), and these AMAZING French Sole metallic pumps (here they are in black suede too--NEED!).

I am so in love with this whole outfit. I wore it out to dinner that night but since our trip, I've probably worn it ten more times!

This top is so fabulous---I adore the sleeves!

And for the final "coincidence", Ecru is now donating clothes to Uncommon Threads and Lisa wants to be involved in the program! Talk about full circle!

I find maxi dresses to be so comfortable AND if I forget to shave my legs, no problem!

I'm wearing the Songo River Sandal from Jax and Bard , located in Maine. I connected with the owner Jax on Instagram last month, and she came to Uncommon Threads with boxes of shoes to donate! She's the absolute sweetest and I LOVE her comfortable and stylish shoe collection! These sandals have a solid chunky heel that is stable and just the right height.

These beautiful gunmetal earrings are from another Instagram connection, Mack and Jane Jewelry. I am head over heels for this stunning, yet very reasonably priced line.

Gala outfit

The first (and hopefully annual) Uncommon Threads Gala is coming up this Wednesday! After months of planning, I can't believe the event is almost here!

I've been going a lot of events lately and "winging" my outfits, which is SO stressful! There's nothing worse than getting dressed for a special occasion an hour beforehand and hating everything you put on--planning is key!

Yes I have a lot of clothes, but I've been living out of boxes for the past year -- my wardrobe is a disorganized mess! So for the gala, I decided to choose my outfit in advance to avoid having a total meltdown.

Because Chico's is sponsoring the gala and because I love the company SO much, I'm wearing this fabulous palm print jumpsuit!

This fun jumpsuit looks super high-end, but it's just

$139! It's crazy comfy, doesn't wrinkle and you can dress it up or down. I may just throw a denim jacket over it this summer!

But the gala is called "Dress to Impress" so I'm getting dressed up by accessorizing with this white clutch (similar and under $40) and a turquoise ring (similar).

Versani

I was in NYC a few months ago and stumbled upon the most incredible jewelry store called Versani. It's hard to describe how gorgeous Versani is--it's truly a feast for the eyes".

The store has an earthy feel and many pieces are displayed on natural materials such as stone or wood.

And then there's the bling....ohhhhh my goodness!

I have to say, these pieces are some of the most beautiful I've seen.

I fell in love with a black diamond ring that was calling my name (Richard are you listening??).

While at Versani, I had the pleasure of meeting Ara the owner and designer. His talent is off the charts and his creations are so unique--they're truly art!

Needless to say, I was so excited when Ara wanted to collaborate on a blog.

But doing a blog with Versani put me in a dilemma--what to choose to show off? One of each please!

I landed on some stunning silver pieces that work with just about any outfit.

Here are my four wardrobe must-haves from Versani:

This intricately designed silver cuff is the perfect combo of edgy and feminine. It fits just about any wrist and looks fabulous on! I paired the cuff with this chunky silver ring that makes a statement even on its own!

These fun earrings can be worn casually or dressy. Here I've paired them with the chunky silver ring, jeans, a loose sweatshirt and slip-on sneakers.

A woven silver necklace is so elegant and this Versani piece is stunning.

I'm wearing this necklace with a very simple black and white outfit...perfect for just about any occasion.

White jeans, black blazer, ruffle sleeve top, sandals and bag.

This necklace might look heavy, but it's actually light and very comfortable! I love that it's understated yet bold at the same time (does that make sense?).
