Strolling down the streets of Andover, MA (my hometown!).
Andover is one of those rare towns with a beautiful center, chock full of fun stores and restaurants.
I LOVE the coffee at Ultimate Perk--self-professed caffeine addict here.
It's been pretty darn cold in the Boston area, but this chunky navy sweater is cozy and warm. It's actually warm enough to go "coatless", especially when bundled with a thick scarf. Similar sweater styles HERE, HERE and HERE (LOVE the fair isle design on this one!).
This plaid Snug scarf is from Andover's Helen Thomas (they ship!). I love the length---I have this thing about scarves being too short!
My Rebecca Minkoff faux croc bag was a consignment find from a trip to West Palm Beach years ago. Here is a similar style HERE.
These super duper comfy boots are by Ecco--they're great for running around town. Because I love them so much, I bought them in black too. When I find a comfy shoe/boot, I want it in every color. Style and comfort is not easy to come by!
Very similar Ecco boots HERE.
I wear my Michele watch all the time and love to stack a bracelet or two with it. This Lola bracelet pairs just beautifully. Also from Helen Thomas. Simple silver bangle HERE.
These mittens from Orange Scarf are just the coziest ever. I have Reynaud's Disease (super cold hands), and have no issues when these babies are on! Find Orange Scarf's glove and mitten collection HERE (SO reasonably priced!).
Toasty hands, cozy sweater, warm scarf...check.
Thanks for stopping by---stay warm!
XO Susan

It's not so easy to buy a birthday gift for an 11 year-old girl anymore! Too old for Barbies, too young for "teenage" stuff...what's an aunt to do?
My gorgeous niece Ella turns 11 today. I searched high and low for something special...not too young, not too old, but meaningful. I ended up at one of my favorite shops, Helen Thomas in Andover, MA, feeling pretty confident that I would find just the right present there.
I got a bit distracted by all the treasures at Helen Thomas.
Check out the paintings behind me. The artist is Stephanie Mobbs Deady and her work is incredible!
Stephanie is also known for her whimsical cow paintings.
I NEED this cozy robe! Oops, I'm supposed to be birthday shopping for Ella, not me! Before I tell you what I got Ella, I need to give you all the outfit details.
You're not going to believe who makes this dress.
Give up? It's LuLaRoe!! Generally you see their clothes worn very casually, but I jazzed up this feather print dress by adding a moto jacket and high boots.
I'm new to LuLaRoe--I always thought of it as a line for younger women. But honestly, it's perfect for all ages!
This dress is so fabulous for many reasons....I love the print, the length is spot on, and it's amazingly comfy. Plus I can dress it up (as shown), or down. I can even wear it all year round! Similar knit moto jacket HERE and HERE.
These earrings are made by my high school friend Aileen Peters and sold at Helen Thomas. Aileen creates the most gorgeous (and unique) silver jewelry. These earrings may look heavy, but they're actually very light. I think I need them.
A fringe bag (similar HERE) gives the outfit a little more edge. And suede tall boots dress it up a bit. These boots are very comfortable by the way! Find them HERE.
Now on to Ella---first I need to find her a special card.
Lisa, who owns Helen Thomas, has a fabulous selection of hand-made cards created by her mom! I love cards and I can easily spend hours reading them.
Since Ella is a beautiful ballerina, I chose this one. You can't tell from the photo, but the card is covered in red sparkles.
And for her present, I found this Lucky Feather ballet slipper necklace. I think she'll like it! And isn't that quote beautiful?
Time to check out...thanks Kristina!
Be sure to check out Helen Thomas (they ship too!).
This blog is dedicated to my brilliant, gorgeous and very special niece Ella who I adore. Happy 11th birthday Ella...love you SO much! "Auntie Susie".

Hi everyone! Just thought I'd share a quick update regarding my experience with Conture so far.
I've been using Conture for about a month now and I'm definitely seeing some results. It's not a face-lift, but my skin does look tighter and smoother. The device does take some getting used to and definitely requires a little time every morning and night. I've found it takes about 20 minutes each day....a small price to pay for great skin, but still a time commitment!
Sorry for the "robotic" look in this video but smiling during the treatment doesn't work!
I think the biggest changes in my skin are in the overall tone (it looks clearer) and the lines on my forehead don't look as pronounced. This makes me very happy (yippee!).
One more thing, I don't seem to need as much make-up these days. This is a close-up with minimal make-up!
I'll be finishing up my review in a few months after I've used Conture for a while longer, so stay tuned!
XO Susan .

Happy 2017 everyone!
I'm a huge fan of camel and black and of course faux fur and animal print...so I combined all 4 in this outfit!
A cream chunky wool sweater is a winter staple. It goes with everything! Here are similar pieces all on sale (after Christmas sales are a wonderful thing!).
I paired the versatile sweater with a classic camel coat that has a fabulous fur collar (love this one and this one too) and cropped black jeans with an unfinished hem (very similar HERE).
This bag is super old, but still cherished. I love the bold gold hardware. Other styles HERE and HERE.
I own several necklaces from Bittersweet Designs, but I think this baroque pearl number is my favorite. I also love this necklace which is less expensive HERE.
But the best part of this outfit are these super cool black suede Rockport boots with a surprise pop of animal print in the back.
They're not only gorgeous, but very comfy since the heel is a mere 2'' and the innersole is cushioned to perfection. Find them HERE.
As much as I love this coat, I just can't wait for winter to be over!
Thanks for stopping by.
