What are you wearing this Thanksgiving Day? Here are two different outfits based on the same color palette...purple and black. Dress casually with a silk top, jeans and heels or go a little dressier with a ponte knit dress (so comfy & warm!) and boots. Add a cape and you're looking mighty stylish for turkey day!

Spending five days in Charleston was like a little slice of heaven...it is one gorgeous city!
Richard and I had so much fun exploring. We walked miles every day photographing
the stunning scenery. The houses simply take your breath away...one is more striking than the next.
And the restaurants!! Charleston is truly a foodies paradise. From Gospel brunch at Hall's Chophouse to a dinner under the stars at Macintosh, we ate our way through the city. And we had the best dessert ever, a sinfully decadent layered carrot cake, at Lana Restaurant
So other than the city's beauty, rich history, nightlife and amazing food...the SHOPPING was also fabulous. Charleston has style. Women know how to dress...I saw a lot of gorgeous outfits cruising around town!

King Street is boutique central. With a wide array of fabulous shops, there is something for everyone.
Loved the name of this shoe store!
And although I'm not much of a hat girl myself, I would have bought this sophisticated red one if it was in my size.
I stopped in at Scout and Molly's, a friendly and welcoming shop that features trendy but wearable clothing and accessories.

Some of my favorite pieces at Scout and Molly's were this fabulous orange and navy print top from local designer Escapada.
And LOVE this adorable print dress by Jade!
If you're a consignment shop lover, this city is for you! There are some amazing second hand boutiques that feature treasures galore. My favorite was The Trunk Show which featured one of the largest selections of Chanel I've seen!
Of course I couldn't walk out empty-handed, so I scoffed up this Rebecca Minkoff bag for just $120.00!
The Old Marketplace is brimming with energy and life. Vendors sell everything from hand-woven baskets to gorgeous scarves, crafts and jewelry.
The Charleston Place Hotel has a beautiful upscale shopping area. Of course I had to browse at St. John and Kate Spade!.
However the highlight was meeting jewelry designer Leslie Willis, owner of Leslie Willis Jewelry who was there showing off her creations. The line is simply elegant and gorgeous. Which is your favorite piece?
And yes, I gave in to temptation and bought a gorgeous pair of silver and Swarovski Crystal earrings!
On the way, to Kiawah Island, a spectacular place to vacation or just spend the day (as we did), I couldn't resist stopping at Freshfields Village , a beautiful outdoor shopping center jam-packed with unique boutiques. My favorite store was Holly and Brooks, the cutest shoe and accessory boutique brimming with amazing shoes, boots, bags, jewelry and more. From FABULOUS (really fabulous!) Frye boots to Vince Camuto and Donald Pliner, Holly and Brooks has all the best names and great prices to boot (no pun intended!).
They also sell via their website in case you can't get out to Kiawah any time soon.
Notice the comfy furniture for the guys to rest while the women shop.
It worked wonders to soothe Richard's shopping anxiety!
Just writing about my vacation makes me want to go back to Charleston. I'll end this blog with a sign that hung in a store window. Isn't this what we all want to hear?
