Summer to fall outfit

Monday, September 04, 2017

And in a blink of the eye, Labor Day has come and gone.
Where does the summer go? I ask myself this question every year.
It can be pretty warm in Boston during September and sometimes even into October. So I thought I'd show you an easy way to transition white jeans into the fall months.  As you can see, I do not go along with the "no white after Labor Day" rule. Who made that up anyway?
I started with high-waisted white jeans (high waisted is pretty much all I'm wearing these days!) and added a sleeveless denim shirt, perfect for a warm day (this one is $17.99!). Here are some high-waisted white jeans I love HERE (adore the unfinished hem and the straight leg--on sale) and HERE.
But because New England weather is very unpredictable, I added a beautiful blue print wrap for a bit of warmth on a cooler day. I bought this one on sale at Chico's several months' ago. LOVE this one too!
A cognac clutch looks great with denim and the color is a bit more "fall-like"than a lighter neutral.  This one is old, but here are other similar styles HERE and HERE (both under $50!).
This necklace was a gift from my sister-in-law a few years ago. It can be worn long, but I prefer it doubled.  I also like these styles HERE ($10 and LOVE!) and HERE.
And this blue lapis ring was a gift to myself--it's one of my favorite pieces.
Similar rings HERE and HERE.
Taking a moment to reflect on life...I get easily distracted.
Baretraps makes amazingly comfy shoes. These sandals are so cushy and soft--perfect for walking! "Almost" the same sandals HERE and on sale!
And when I start to hot-flash, OFF goes the wrap!
Hope you had a fabulous Labor Day weekend.
Thank you for visiting!
XO Susan
