Style under the sun--CoolibarWednesday, November 02, 2016
When Coolibar asked me to collaborate on a blog, I was beyond thrilled. I'm so enthralled with this amazing company! Yes Coolibar has a beautiful line of clothes, but they're also functional--their fabrics block the sun's harmful rays! After a bout with basal cell skin cancer several years ago I'm super careful about warding off the sun, so I love that Coolibar protects my skin. They're the first clothing company to earn the Skin Cancer Foundation's Seal of Recommendation! How "cool" is that? OK, I'm being corny!
The thing I like about Coolibar (in addition to the sun protection) is the comfort, style and quality of their clothes. I chose to show off this merino cowl neck tunic, knit leggings and fun fringe cape. I wore this outfit on a recent trip to Quechee, Vermont and it was perfect for everything from a walk in the woods to lunch in Woodstock.
Turtlenecks aren't usually don't work for me, but the soft drape of this neckline is just right!
The tunic also comes also black in addition to burgundy heat (which I'm wearing)--I love the high/low drop-tail style and side vents. It also makes a great layering piece to wear under a jacket, cardigan or this fun fringe shawl wrap (which can be worn multiple ways including as a scarf!). The versatility makes it a fabulous travel piece!
And a black leather bag with snakeskin trim (old). This one caught my eye too ($40!).
And don't forget your sunnies--they're soooo important for keeping your eyes healthy! Coolibar has a fabulous selection of high-quality eye-wear and lots of great accessories too!
Other reasons I love Coolibar:
- Their fabrics breathe and insulate at the same time--perfect for year-round temperature changes!
- These pieces are machine washable---woohoo!
- The fabrics are naturally antibacterial and manage odor.
- Their clothes are soooo soft and lightweight--like wearing your favorite tee!
- The UPF 50+ fabrics block year-round UV rays.
Keep your precious skin protected from the sun...use sunscreen religiously and cover up!
