The high low dress
Wednesday, June 15, 2016
Hope you're enjoying the warm weather. Here's an outfit that's super comfortable and easy to put together! Emily O'Brien and I shot this set in Newport, RI at the fabulous Attwater Hotel.
Wearing a high/low dress, which basically means higher in the front and longer in the back. I probably didn't need to explain this one.
I bought this dress a few years ago, but only recently started wearing it. It used to be a little big but unfortunately those days are gone (thank you menopause!). The simple style of this dress makes it easy to pair with a jacket (similar knit denim jacket HERE and another high/low dress I love HERE).
Now it's time to drool over these chairs...let's say it together oooohhhh and ahhhhh. The hotel interior was designed by the fabulously talented
We all need a white clutch this season! This one is by Sole Society and it's super inexpensive. A white bag is something I won't spend a lot of money on since I can be a klutz (ok I AM a klutz). Here are other inexpensive white clutches I like too HERE and HERE.
These black suede wedges from J. Crew have literally saved my feet when I needed comfy but stylish shoes. Similar HERE and HERE.
And now for the icing on the cake. I am in LOVE with these lightweight statement earrings from Elements by Jill Schwatz, a fabulous designer located in Western, MA. You can find these earrings and the rest of her line HERE.
Add a hat and a wrap bracelet to this outfit and you're ready to stroll the streets of Newport in style!

I'm so jealous of your warm weather! I live in the Pacific Northwest and it's still cool here. The last few days the high temps have been in the low 60's.
ReplyDeleteHi Cathy---you need a temperature boost!! Our winters are tough in New England so during the warmer months, I soak up every bit of sunshine that I can! Hope it warms up soon! XO

I am loving the hi-lo trend more than ever this Summer and picked up a couple of dresses in this trend but I think I need a black one now. And I just love your earrings, too.
