The tweed dress

Tuesday, April 19, 2016

This post is the last in the series shot at The Merchant Hotel in Salem, MA with the fabulous Emily O'Brien.

I'm all about the tweed dress---it's sophisticated, classic and a bit "Chanel". It will take you from work to cocktails and the textured fabric provides lots of coverage.

The simple lines of this dress make it so easy to wear.
It's also versatile--pair it with a jacket, cardigan or wear solo (as shown).

I kept jewelry to a minimum...no need to take away from this gorgeous dress. However my bag on the other hand!

Finding my keys is always a challenge!

Step inside!

These photos were shot in the George Washington room at The Merchant. Story goes, that George himself slept here!

I'm on the phone with my husband Richard telling him how cool this hotel is. I think I'm making him a bit jealous. Sorry honey (said with sarcasm)!

I think George would approve of a glass of bourbon...
on the rocks of course!

Feeling very presidential.
Here's to you George!

Here are some similar pieces that I love!

Stay tuned to The Midlife Fashionista--next week I'm shooting with my BFF/photographer Cathy Trainor in ATLANTIS!
