Romantic Quebec

Sunday, July 26, 2015

I just got back from an amazing trip to Quebec City. Richard and I have made it a tradition to celebrate our anniversary in this very romantic place!  This year, we stayed at Hotel Le Priori--an stunning boutique hotel located in the lower section of the historic district.

Although the building is historic, there is nothing "old" about Le Priori. The rooms are chic and spacious offering every modern amenity including a fridge, microwave, flat screen television, Nepresso machine, and so much more.

 "Loungewear"

The second floor private "spa" complete with a flatscreen television and deck with hot-tub.

Every morning I sipped espresso while gazing at the view. This is living!

Picture perfect.

This is how we got up to the "spa"...not easy after a few glasses of wine!

Sightseeing in Quebec City means a TON of walking, so comfort is a must! We lived in jeans, tee-shirts and sneakers

These Nike Air-max Tailwinds literally saved my feet.
They're the most comfy sneakers ever.

I brought my The Sak cross-body bag for long walks. I love the metallic color and roomy design--some cross-body bags are just too small to fit all my "gear".  Another The Sak bag that I like here

For the first two nights we bought a "picnic" from the local farmer's market and ate on our deck.

On the last night of the trip, we splurged and ate dinner at Restaurant Toast at Le Priori

I wore this linen-weave tee-shirt maxi (similar here)--the side slits gave it dressier look for evening.

Since Toast is located outside in the hotel courtyard, I added a jacket for warmth. This Lou and Grey Loft knit denim jacket was such a great find and travels so well (no wrinkles!).

This fun fringed necklace was a boutique find --it adds a little "boho style".  I also like these-- here and here

Many of the roads in Quebec City are cobblestone, so walking in heels is tough.
These flat suede J. Crew sandals are so comfortable that I wear them with everything  (as you can see from the "worn in" marks). Here they are in gold--I have those too!

I dressed up the outfit with my favorite J. Crew Factory Store metallic clutch. (on sale for just $48.00!)

Enter into the magic of Toast.

This restaurant is not only breath-taking, but the food is incredible and the service impeccable.

After dinner, a walk was in order to work off the zillion calories we consumed.
The city streets are so gorgeous at night!

We loved Hotel Le Prior so much that we already booked the same room for next year!
If you're looking for a very special place to visit, I highly recommend this outstanding hotel in one of the most beautiful cities around.

Here's to eleven wonderful years of marriage. Love you Richard!
