It's about time a clothing company created a "size-less" collection. Think about it...so many women define themselves by the number on a label!
But U by Karen Klein is a "one size fits most" line. Women can wear the collection whether they're a size 0 or a size 14. They're all about clothes that benefit, inspire and empower women and their changing bodies. And let's face it, whose body doesn't change? Certainly mine has!
So when Karen Klein heard about Uncommon Threads (the non-profit I launched last year), they knew that our missions aligned. For at Uncommon Threads, all women are created equal and deserve to feel beautiful regardless of their income level, size, or circumstances. We work with low-income women such as domestic violence survivors, female veterans, cancer patients, disabled women, and women in recovery to empower them through clothes and style. It's on outside-in approach to building self-esteem.
The lovely women at U by Karen Klein decided to create an equal community and environment for women to be confident, by partnering with Uncommon Threads on #GivingTuesday (November 28th) and donating one U by Karen Klein fashion piece for every one purchased on that date. Our clients will LOVE their beautiful clothes!
So what does "size-less" clothing look like you might wonder?
Here I'm showing off the U by Karen Klein wrap dress, which can be worn with leggings, open as a coat or layered over a tank dress (as shown). It's a super versatile piece that comes in black and a cool green/yellow called Sulphur.
I am a size 2-4 but this dress works for women up to size 14.
The material is soft, super comfortable and has a gorgeous drape.
My photographer Raeanne and I took these photos at the loading dock by Uncommon Threads. We are lucky enough to have the dock just outside our door, making donation deliveries super easy!
By untying the sash, you now have a beautiful coat.
The pockets are large and roomy, but can easily be tacked down if desired. I like the slouchy pocket look!
I added a chunky silver necklace (similar HERE) to edgy things up a bit. The ankle boots are a few years old and by Aquatalia (LOVE this line because they're waterproof!). Similar waterproof suede boots HERE and these boots are fabulous HERE (great deal!!) --similar clutch HERE.
