The Midlife Fashionista: Andover

Striped midi tank dress

I'm a big fan of stripes, especially in the summer.

I bought this dress a while back, but I found almost the exact same style for you HERE on sale for just $33.75!

I paired the dress with a white denim jacket, a summer "must-have". I like the collar up for added style. This fabulous tassel necklace is from Love and Pieces.

I bought this white clutch and love it so much that I also bought it in black too! Aviator sunnies (similar HERE) and comfy black suede wedges (similar HERE and HERE) complete the outfit.

Hope you're having an amazing summer!

Boho dress

Andover

Recently I have been gravitating towards boho style clothes.

There's something casual yet chic, a little hippie, and just plain fun to this laid-back style.

This easy to wear Velvet by Graham and Spencer dress makes me happy. I love their dresses! More styles HERE HERE HERE and HERE

A denim jacket keeps things super casual. This one is from Fabrizio Gianni and it's made in the U.S.!

I feel like I should be dancing at a concert in this dress!

I paired the outfit with a cognac leather clutch, similar HERE and HERE and my blue lapis ring...love this one too. Sunglasses are by Ray Ban .

Nude suede sandals in a low wedge keep my feet happy.

Looks like my new photographer Nitin and I may just have to stop for a quick cup of coffee. I'm an addict. Ultimate Perk here we come!

Go boho!

Baby it's cold outside!

Andover

December was ridiculously warm. We had to run our air conditioner on Christmas Eve--it was nearly 70 degrees! Now the temps are back where they should be for this time of the year and it feels SO cold! I got spoiled.

So if we have to dress warm, we might as well do it in style. Here I'm wearing an army green down parka with a faux-fur hood that I purchased a few years ago. I love the color because it's a neutral and goes with just about everything--plus it breaks my black coat habit.

Here are a few similar styles HERE, HERE and HERE --all on sale too!.

I just love faux-fur--but you already knew that, right?

I paired the jacket with this fabulous Michael Kors camo infinity scarf that's super warm.

I punched in some color with a burgundy leather cross body bag..similar styles HERE HERE and HERE. I love these colors together!

Strolling around Andover, MA--a beautiful town with rich history and an amazing downtown

shopping area. My roots are here--I grew up in Andover and my mom still lives in the same house!

These tall Donald Pliner boots are incredibly comfortable and warm. I also love the distressed texture which makes them interesting and fun.

Similar Donald Pliner boot with buckles HERE (on sale!).

Skinny jeans work best for tucking into boots. These are by Joe's.

Cathy and I were so happy to find this fire-pit at Andover Village Square,

where we stopped to warm up.

And have coffee from Mr. Gelato Cafe.

I'm a huge dog lover so of course I couldn't miss the opportunity to grab a photo with the gorgeous Sophie who was out for a walk with her owner.

Sophie's probably thinking "get this lunatic away from me".

Stay stylishly warm!

XO Susan

As always, a huge thank you to my best friend/photographer Cathy Trainor.
