Kimono in Chinatown
Monday, March 19, 2018
While in NYC last week, I had the pleasure to shoot with the amazing Denton Taylor. Denton is a NYC native so he knows all best places to take photos.
This kimono jacket seemed like the perfect piece to photograph in Chinatown. I purchased this jacket last year but I found some others you might like here here and here.
I love the ease, comfort and coverage that a kimono jacket gives...plus it adds a little style to a simple dress. It looks great with jeans too! I'm wearing the jacket over a black dress (love this one!).
I'm always intrigued by the selection of exotic foods at the Chinatown markets. I have never seen so many mushroom varieties!
And then there's the gorgeous fruit and vegetables!
The seafood is SO fresh...wish I could have taken some home on the train. OK, that would have been gross.
I paired this outfit with a simple back clutch that has both leather and suede--I love mixing textures. Almost the same clutch here. Sunnies from Jimmy Crystal.
This Hipchik necklace gives the outfit a boho feel. I love the line.
These Taryn Rose ankle boots have been my "go to". They're so comfortable and hit just above the ankle, which tends to be flattering. . They just happen to be on sale too!
Big thank you to my new friend Denton Taylor for taking these photos. I can't wait to go back to NYC!

The Taryn Rose boots, Chico's dress and Jimmy Crystal sunnies were gifted but I only post what I love. PROMISE!
