A night at the Essex Street Inn

Sometimes you just need to escape--and the best places to go can be right in your own backyard!  I recently visited the lovely Essex Street Inn, located in the charming seaport town of Newburyport, MA (only 25 minutes away from where I live). This quaint family owned inn is right in the center of town--it's so convenient to shopping, eateries and beautiful places to walk From ocean strolls to hikes in the woods, there is something for everyone!
Essex Street Inn has three beautiful buildings--all with unique rooms (some even have a kitchen!). And then there's the room with a rooftop view of Newburyport...stunning!
SO "New England" right?
So here I am ---can't wait for a short "get-away".
I admit that I'm an "over-packer", but I was pretty proud of myself for bringing just ONE suitcase!
First stop, "check-in".
The inn has the cutest little nooks to take a break for "what else" but checking Instagram and emails....the story of my life!
And ok, one quick phone call.

Outfit details:
Paige high waisted jeans (super soft and comfy!)
Military inspired jacket --similar and and on sale for a GREAT price!

Fabulous Bos & Co patent leather combat boots keep my feet warm and dry and are perfect for walking.
Time to head up to my room to relax!
First things first.
1.  Throw on a cozy robe (this one is from Helen Thomas).
2.  Find a comfy chair
3.  Curl up by the fire
4.  Grab a cup of tea
5.  Relax and read a good book!
I can't tell you the last time I felt so relaxed.
And lucky me! My room had a jacuzzi!
Wine and candles, check.
Now this is the life!
After a fabulous night's sleep, I'm ready to explore Newburyport. The inn offers drinks and snacks and a wonderful light breakfast to start off the day.
Caffeine before I can function properly.
General Manager Alexander couldn't be more accommodating.
He's fabulous!
In addition to 37 unique guest rooms, the inn also offers wedding accommodations (perfect for the bridal party!) as well as meeting space. We are talking about hosting an Uncommon Threads event here!
Having time to myself is such a luxury. I need to do this again soon. It's good for the soul!

Lots of outfits coming your way photographed at the lovely Essex Street Inn so stay tuned! Thank you to The Essex Street Inn for sponsoring this blog--I had a wonderful time!
