The Midlife Fashionista: boho style

Mom plays photographer

It seems that I never get enough time with my mom.

Life gets way too busy and the important things (like spending time with family) sometimes take a back-seat to work.

I need to change this.

Last week my mom and I got a chance to spend a few days together in Newburyport, MA and it reminded me of how precious family time is. I love being with her.

My mom (Phyllis) is 79 --can you believe it? She has the most gorgeous skin and she's super active. She walks miles every day! She was even willing to take photos of my outfit having never used an iPhone. I may have found a new photographer!

I've been wearing a lot of Adrift these days. I really really really love this line! The detailing is fabulous and the fabrics are so comfortable. It just FEELS good on! This Eliza top is perfect with jeans for fall with three-quarter sleeves.

I paired this top with high waisted skinny jeans. White jeans would look fabulous too. And yes, you can wear white after Labor Day. If you don't believe me, see my previous blog.

This gorgeous sparkly necklace from SKM Jewelers is just $48 and can be worn solo or layered! SKM has amazing finds at incredible prices. Contact them to order and be sure to follow them on Instagram! The owner Suzie is a doll--she donates clothes and accessories to Uncommon Threads!

I know you've seen these sandals a million times on the blog...they're SO comfortable (especially for walking) and now they're on sale for under $50. Find them HERE...highly recommend.

This black Jetzy tote is the newest in my Jetzy collection. These bags can't be beat. You can hose them down (perfect for the beach), fold them up (great for travel), and they're super-lightweight (easy on the shoulder).

Thanks to my photographer for being such a good sport.
Love you!

XO Susan
