Coffee at Caffe Nero

Wednesday, August 03, 2016

I'm a huge coffee lover.  My husband Richard and I joke that we need coffee to make coffee in the morning. I love the smell, I love the taste, and I LOVE a great coffee shop.
So when my photographer Nitin and I had the chance to shoot this blog at Caffe Nero, we jumped on it. Clothes and coffee--what could be better? Ahhh, life is good.
And pastry is up there with the coffee. I'm a sugar addict so this is heaven!
I'll take one of those, and one of those, and one of those.....
someone save me from myself!
The toughest part of the shoot was trying to carry everything without spilling or dropping. Although my middle name is Grace, I am anything but graceful.

Woohoo, I did it! Not a drop spilled! Now to tell you about the outfit. This casual look is perfect for meeting your friends at a hip coffee shop like Caffe Nero.

I'm wearing cuffed distressed jeans. Very similar HERE and HERE (on sale for $44.40!). Someone recently asked me what I thought of wearing ripped jeans in our 50's. My response, "if you like 'em, wear 'em." And can we please eliminate those limiting "rules" that someone made up? Wear what you feel good in!

I paired the jeans with a loose black linen tank and a black vest for a bit of added coverage and style. More options HERE (longer vest) and HERE.
I kept my accessories to black and gold. I'm wearing a Michael Kors watch layered with a simple gold bracelet (also love this one HERE).  Large gold hoops and that's it for jewelry.
But then there's the BAG! This suede clutch from ExVoto Vintage is so versatile. There are multiple ways to wear this piece....as a shoulder bag, clutch and even to carry your iPad around! I adore the gold accents--and the tassel is fabulous!
Be sure to follow me on Instagram as I'll be partnering with
ExVoto Vintage to give-away a fabulous scarf! Coming soon!
My necklace is a recent consignment find. It was all of $10.00!
I love the color of the stone. Other inexpensive and similar pieces HERE and HERE.
To break up all the black, I'm wearing animal print shoes. These platform wedges give me a little height and are fairly comfy. I definitely wouldn't walk miles in these shoes, but they're perfect for a coffee shop adventure. If you like a lower heel, check out these black and snakeskin sandals (on sale!).

Time to go.  Thank you so much to Caffe Nero in Andover, MA for collaborating and being so nice!

Also, a big thank you to the extremely talented Nitin, Photos by Nitin --I'm so lucky to be working with him! And to the fabulous Robert Jason Salon for their hair expertise.

XO Susan
