Bonjour from Quebec!

Last week Richard and I spent three days in Quebec City, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It was our third trip to this magical place and we love it so much that we already booked again for next year.

Travel Essentials:  Let's start out with what you should wear while in Quebec. Comfort is key since you'll be walking miles and miles sight-seeing. Here's how I stayed blister-free while trekking around the city.

I'm not a huge fan of clunky sneakers but I adore Keds. I've had this pair of Keds for 6+ years and they still look brand new.  They look cute with shorts and keep my feet ultra-happy too!

These Born Meera sandals are SO comfortable and make for a nice option to wear with dresses.

I love these Seychelle Sandals so much that I own three pairs in different colors. Although there is not a ton of support, I find them amazingly soft and comfy--plus their lightweight and easy to pack! I also like the thin ankle strap for a bit of added style.

My "go to" denim jacket, Three Dots cotton knit tank dress, VERY old Gap straw bag (great for carrying sunscreen and a sweater) and a few pieces of fabulous jewelry gave me lots of versatile outfit options.

Another soft little jersey dress (from Ann Taylor Loft) kept me comfortable and transitioned easily from day to night.

You can't go wrong packing black skinny jeans and a flowy top for a night out. I left the heels at home and brought my comfy wedge sandals because we walked a ton at night too!

This DKNY leather bag was one of the best investments I've made. It serves as a cross-body bag, shoulder bag and even a clutch by simply taking the strap off. It's lightweight and goes with everything.

A fabulous ring takes up no space at all and adds pizazz to any outfit. This one is by

This BB Beauty Balm from Dr. Jart is like 3 products in one...a moisturizing cream, light foundation, and 25 SPF sunscreen.

Where to Shop:  It took me a bit of investigating to scout out the best places to shop in Quebec. Many of the stores are "touristy" and I found the fashion scene to be lacking. But don't worry...I have some great recommendations for you!

You will see a lot of bright colors in Quebec!

Winters are long and frigid, so the stores have cold weather attire out even in the summer!

Shamane is a very cool store that sells skincare products made with Donkey Milk!

My favorite boutiques include M0851, Swell and Ginger, Martino Boots, and Oclan

Let's start with M0851
Carrying an exceptional line of gorgeous leather goods including bags and jackets for men and women, M0851 is an example of "you get what you pay for". Their buttery soft leathers, crafted with quality and style will last throughout the years and look even better "worn in".   You'll find them at 66 Boulevard Champlain.

Chatting "leather" with owner Cynthia Desrosiers. I have my eye on this gorgeous chocolate brown leather jacket!

Next up is Swell and Ginger, a hidden gem of a boutique located on 765A St-Jospehy Est.
With clothing lines such as Equipment and Gypsy05--gorgeous lingerie from Sokoloff and Eberjey and unique jewelry that's a bit boho inspired, you'll love this fabulous boutique!

I loved their unique jewelry selection!

Owner Annie Boisjoli was such a pleasure to chat with!

I bought the black and gold bracelet on the bottom....couldn't resist!

Martino Boots
Located on 2277, Rue de la Faune this boot shop is SO worth checking out. If you like beautifully made boots that offer warmth, quality and style, you will love this line.

Oclan, 67 Rue du Petit Champlainis, is a fun little boutique with unique finds. From well known lines like Ted Baker and Velvet to smaller labels that you won't find in department stores, you'll enjoy poking around this adorable shop!

Dining:  The food in Quebec is to die for. From quaint outdoor cafes to upscale steakhouses, there is something for everyone. Some of my favorite Quebec eateries are Chez Boulay, Toast, Sous-le-Fort, and Paillard for the most decadent pastries (like this one!).

I had to capture this "grande dame" (who had to be at least 80) walking down the cobblestone streets of Quebec looking so stylish!

Au revoir!
